What is Hrdaya Satsang?

A place to return to what is most real in you.

Satsang is one of the oldest forms of spiritual gathering — a coming together in the company of truth, held by a teacher and nourished by the collective field of sincere practice. Hrdaya Satsang brings that tradition into the present, in a form that honors the relational depth and embodied spirituality at the heart of Luke's work.

This is not a class. It is not a workshop. It is a living practice container — for people who have already crossed a certain threshold together, who know what it is to go deep, and who want a regular home to return to between retreats.

Each gathering draws from the well of Hrdaya Yoga — the yoga of the heart — which holds that the goal of practice is not transcendence but relational joy and freedom. Meditation as fuel. Presence as the gift. Connection as the cure.

You will leave more deeply anchored in yourself. More at peace. More oriented toward the best in the people around you and the highest possibilities available in your life.

"The goal of yoga is not enlightenment. Enlightenment is where we begin. Deep intimate relationship is the joyful, wonder-filled journey of a lifetime."
What happens in a session

An evening arc that opens and deepens.

Each 75-minute session moves through the same essential rhythm — different each time, consistent in what it asks of you and what it returns.

I

Triple Fire Drop In

We begin by arriving fully — dropping awareness into the three centers of the body: heart, belly, and pelvis. A practice of presence before anything else.

II

Chanting

Sacred sound as a vehicle for the heart to open. Chanting dissolves the residue of the day and attunes the nervous system to a deeper frequency.

III

Breathwork

Conscious breath to move what is stuck, clear what is clouded, and build the inner capacity to feel more fully and stay more present.

IV

Meditation

Guided meditation drawn from the Kashmir Shaivite tradition and Luke's thirty years of practice — an invitation into luminosity, stillness, and the ground of being.

V

Relational Touch

Brief, grounded relational work — bringing the inner spaciousness cultivated in practice into how we meet one another. The bridge between meditation and life.

VI

Closing & Blessing

Each gathering closes with a blessing from Luke — a sending forth into the week, nourished and oriented toward what matters most.

Who this gathering is for

  • You have attended a Lotus of the Heart retreat and want to keep the flame alive between intensives
  • You want a regular, living practice container — not a course, but a community
  • You know what it is to go deep, and you want a place that meets you there consistently
  • You are drawn to the philosophy of Hrdaya Yoga — meditation as the fuel for relational love and freedom
  • You want to stay connected to the community of people who have shared the retreat space with you

Hrdaya Satsang is offered primarily to alumni of the Lotus of the Heart retreat. It is Luke's way of staying in relationship with his students — of nourishing the roots that were laid in the intensive and allowing them to grow between gatherings.

If you have not yet attended a retreat but feel a genuine pull toward this practice, reach out. Luke will let you know if the time is right.

Hrdaya Satsang is offered freely.

This gathering is Luke's gift to his community. There is no charge to attend. If you are moved to give, donations to the scholarship fund help support others who could not otherwise afford to attend a Lotus of the Heart retreat.

Donations of any amount go directly to retreat scholarships. No contribution is too small — or required.
